Writing the number ten
Write it as two digits side by side: a one and then a zero. Keep them close together so they read as one number.
Before tracing, count out ten real things — buttons, blocks, grapes — and line them up next to the sheet.
Say the words out loud while your child traces — the rhythm of the instruction is what sticks, far more than the number of repetitions on the page. Three careful rows beat a full sheet of rushed ones.
