Writing the number one
Start at the top and pull straight down. One line for the number one.
Before tracing, count out one real thing — buttons, blocks, grapes — and line them up next to the sheet.
Say the words out loud while your child traces — the rhythm of the instruction is what sticks, far more than the number of repetitions on the page. Three careful rows beat a full sheet of rushed ones.
